The growing disconnection from nature, driven by urbanization and industrialization, has significant consequences for ecological sustainability. While organizations typically encourage employees to adopt green behaviors in the workplace, research has limited in the factors inside of organization and overlooked the outside ones. This paper aims to address this gap by examining how employees' experiences with pets can foster a sense of connectedness to nature, which in turn influences their green behaviors at work. Through a multi-method approach, including secondary data analysis and experimental studies, we plan to test our hypotheses across varied contexts. We expect the finding can contribute to the literature on employee green behavior, human-animal relations, and work-life boundaries.
