Teaching innovation requires rethinking methodologies to match the needs of new generations of students. Despite being over a century old, the case method remains a widely used pedagogical tool in business education, celebrated for its integration of theory and practice. However, today’s students (Generations Y, Z, and Alpha) demand more engaging and interactive experiences. In response, the LiveCase methodology has emerged as a hybrid approach that blends traditional case teaching with business simulations, mixing in person role-playing and generative AI. This PDW explores the LiveCase method’s potential to enhance teaching and learning. Participants will experience a bestselling HBR Live Case, discuss strategies for incorporating Live Cases into their curricula, and learn how to run a LiveCase in-person or online.
