Questions around what experiences drives individuals to engage in entrepreneurship have drawn substantial scholarly interest in the last decade. In this session, we bring together a panel of leading and rising scholars to share their recent work and diverse perspectives on these issues. Specifically, we aim to bridge two distinct but interconnected areas of research: the micro-level dynamics of their personal engagements in entrepreneurship and the impact of entrepreneurs' prior organizational experiences. The presentations will showcase areas of active research and the latest empirical methodologies used to explore open research questions in this domain. Roundtable discussions will support the exploration of multiple perspectives, development of new and ongoing research among participants, and foster the development of collaborative connections between scholars from traditionally separate fields and across all career stages.
