Teams are increasingly common in work and life, yet not always effective. Imagine removing the mystery about what it really takes to create a winning, thriving team. During the workshop we will explore research-based factors that distinguish exceptional teams from lower performing teams. The session highlights the 6 Team Conditions framework, supported with research from studies of teams in multiple industries and contexts (Wageman et al., 2005). A variety of team examples will illustrate the range of possible applications of the framework. Case studies provide a deeper look at the 3 essentials and 3 enablers of the 6 Conditions team effectiveness framework. The workshop provides a collaborative environment for small groups to examine team scenarios, identify strengths, note key opportunities, and determine conditions to put in place to increase team effectiveness. Participants will gain insights to set up teams for success and will have the opportunity to learn with colleagues. The session will inspire us all to continually learn and improve the way we lead, participate on, and coach teams. Keywords: Team leadership, effective teams, collaborative capacity, team coaching
