This paper proposes using Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) to enhance student engagement and performance in experiential, collaborative international business projects. By leveraging GAI tools like ChatGPT as an AI teammate, team members can better understand how their unique skills contribute to the project. Grounded in Cognitive Load Theory, Distributed Cognition Theory, and Role Theory, this framework posits that GAI can improve team efforts by managing cognitive load, distributing cognitive processes, and clarifying team roles. The anticipated outcomes include improved team performance, increased satisfaction, enhanced task clarity, and reduced conflict. Integrating GAI into collaborative projects can help students develop critical skills such as effective communication, role clarity, and adaptive problem-solving. Incorporating GAI into management education aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, ultimately producing more competent and confident business leaders.
