Prior research has demonstrated the complex effects of congruence between leaders and followers. Additionally, dark personality traits, such as those in the Dark Triad, play a critical role in shaping the social and performance cultures in the workplace. The current poster integrates the research on congruence and dark personality to cast a light on how congruence of dark traits, at moderate levels, may lead to beneficial outcomes within groups. We test our model using multi-source data from 41 workgroups. Results support our hypothesized effect between congruence and positive affect, which subsequently is associated with group innovation.
