Empathy is widely recognized as a fundamental aspect of human interaction, shaping relationships and behaviors across various contexts. In venture settings, it has the potential to influence dynamics, improve collaboration, and enhance decision-making. However, little is known about how empathy operates at a collective level within ventures to support multidimensional value creation. This study seeks to address this gap through an ethnographic investigation of a venture excelling in empathetic practices. Our findings reveal that empathy manifests across affective, cognitive, and collective dimensions, forming the foundation for aligning processes, culture, and relationships with stakeholder needs by utilizing three interconnected mechanisms: appealing to senses, engaging minds, and broadening horizons. These mechanisms enable the venture to translate empathy into meaningful outcomes across individual, organizational, and societal levels. This study contributes to the understanding of empathy as a collective practice and offers practical insights for ventures aiming to foster comprehensive stakeholder engagement and sustainable value creation.
