This paper introduces a reflexive pedagogy based on the Economies of Worth (EW) framework to develop responsible leadership in management education. Addressing grand societal challenges like climate change and inequality requires leaders capable of balancing diverse values beyond profit maximization. The EW framework, with its focus on multiple incommensurable values, offers a practical tool for understanding and navigating these complexities. Drawing on the EW framework, we developed engaging teaching materials using active learning techniques, including an online module with fictional scenarios and case studies, to help students interact with the EW framework. We reflect on our experiences across various teaching contexts to formalise a pedagogical approach that aims to develop leaders capable of reflexivity, perspective-taking, negotiation and conflict resolution. We propose the EW framework as a valuable tool for developing responsible leadership, while also cautioning against its misuse in promoting manipulative leadership practices. This paper contributes to management learning and education by offering an adaptable pedagogical model that prepares future leaders to address global challenges.
