As disability rates continue to rise across the world, human resources (HR) plays a crucial role in fostering inclusion and providing support for employees with disabilities. Given that disability is a complex and multifaceted concept shaped by the interplay between individual impairments and environmental factors, HR needs to adopt a comprehensive perspective to effectively fulfill this role. This study analyzed existing HR research on disability using Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) topic modeling to understand existing knowledge and discover opportunities for future research. A total of 193 articles indexed in SSCI and ESCI were reviewed to identify key topics and patterns within the field. This study identified 10 research topics: (1) Employment and Hiring, (2) Diversity and Performance, (3) Disability Accommodations and Research Trends, (4) Identity and Ableism, (5) Mental Health and Disability Law, (6) Workplace Support for Disability, (7) Inclusive Workplace and Support, (8) Discrimination and Inclusive HR Practices, (9) ADHD and Performance, and (10) Disability Management and Leadership. Building on these findings, we explored how these topics align with various HR areas and provide an in-depth discussion. The study offers insights and practical guidance for advancing future research on disability in the HR field.
