This Professional Development Workshop (PDW) convenes experts from diverse disciplines to address critical real-world challenges and conflicts across macro, meso, and micro levels of analysis. These challenges will be examined through multidisciplinary perspectives and a variety of analytical methods. The workshop will feature scholars researching ethics, status and power, communication, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within organizations, as well as broader societal concerns such as institutional trust, polarization, and policy issues within the context of global challenges, including artificial intelligence, digital technologies, resource scarcity, and climate change, among others. Panelists will share insights into how their research intersects with conflict, broadly defined, offering perspectives that transcend disciplinary boundaries. Panelists will also engage in rich methods discussions and share methodological insights. This workshop aims to attract a wide audience from across Academy of Management divisions and interest groups (e.g., ENT, STR, OB, DEI, SIM, ODC, MOC, HR), fostering collaboration and engagement.
