Systematic reviews and meta-analyses are invaluable tools for synthesizing existing studies and generating new insights. However, these approaches are labor-intensive and time-consuming, traditionally requiring a team of four researchers over 67 weeks to complete a single meta-analysis (Borah et al., 2017). Despite their value, the current process is unsustainable given the exponential growth in publications (Bornmann et al., 2021). In response, we present a revolutionary approach to conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses, enabled by AI-driven platforms and agentic automation. The proposed Professional Development Workshop (PDW) leverages the HubMeta Ignite platform, which employs AI agents to streamline the five major stages of systematic reviews, dramatically reducing time and effort. By integrating advanced natural language processing (NLP), machine learning (ML), and automated data extraction, participants will learn how to complete tasks in hours instead of months. This workshop is offered by the co-founders of HubMeta, a free cloud-based platform for conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses, with a community of over 8,000 researchers and numerous successful publications powered by it. This hands-on workshop will allow participants to conduct a systematic review from start to finish within the session. All tools and platforms used in this workshop are free and open-access for Academy of Management (AoM) attendees. Our previous AoM PDWs on systematic reviews and meta-analyses in AoM 2022 and AoM 2023, as well as our symposium in AoM 2024, have been extremely well received and led to the creation of important systematic reviews with the participants.
