Overcoming traumatic events and handling associated stress has become increasingly critical in the face of the rise of external and internal crises in the current socio-economic climate characterized by inflation, political tensions, wars, natural disasters and refugee crises. This underscores the importance of understanding how individuals can bounce back and grow from setbacks. While trauma, stress, and burnout are often linked to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), research shows that many individuals experience personal growth (PTG) following trauma, such as personal strength and appreciation of life (Tedeschi & Calhoun, 1996; Calhoun & Tedeschi, 2006). This workshop explores the potential positive aspects of traumatic events and provides strategies for achieving PTG. The workshop will provide practical tools for fostering resilience, personal development, and thriving. Using real-life mini-cases, participants will gain actionable insights into key interventions.
