This workshop invites participants to reflect on the history of scholarly and pedagogical efforts to integrate the arts and humanities in business education following the publication of Rethinking Undergraduate Business Education: Liberal Learning for the Profession (Colby et al, 2011). The aim is to extend these collaborations, experiments, and discussions by exploring new pedagogical frontiers, particularly by leveraging Copenhagen’s unique urban and cultural landscape. With Copenhagen as the AOM host city, the workshop will propose and experiment with the notion of a “city-wide campus” as a framework for integrating offsite learning opportunities into business education. This approach seeks to engage participants in the potential of cities as educational ecosystems, blending institutional knowledge with the everyday experiences of urban life.
