This PDW provides an actionable framework for understanding, embracing, and championing the inclusion of gender-diverse individuals including transgender, non-binary, genderqueer, cisgender, and gender expression in the workplace. It will explore the foundational concepts of gender identity, expression, and the challenges faced by these individuals in professional settings. Participants will gain insights into the systemic barriers, microaggressions, and biases that may impact transgender and/or nonbinary employees’ sense of belonging, performance, and mental health. Drawing on research-backed strategies and lived experiences, the workshop will highlight the tangible benefits of transgender and/or nonbinary inclusion for organizational culture, innovation, and employee engagement. Through interactive discussions, role-playing scenarios, and resource-sharing, attendees will leave with actionable skills to create a safer and more affirming environment for transgender and/or nonbinary employees. Additionally, participants will learn to devise sample policy framework, ensuring long-term cultural transformation and sustained support for gender-diverse team members.
