Organizations across industries are exploring how generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) can help them to innovate and improve performance. Yet, as with any other disruptive technology, we can expect that realizing the potential of generative AI will require fundamental organizational changes. While some organizations may put generative AI to productive use with relatively little adaptations to their current operations, others may have to fundamentally revamp their structures, processes, and products through processes of digital transformation. The purpose of this workshop is to promote research investigating how generative AI may affect our current understanding of how organizations innovate and operate and how they may need to transform themselves to effectively incorporate generative AI technologies in their organizational structures.
