This Professional Development Workshop (PDW) explores the roles of chance, luck, and serendipity in management and strategy. The session is structured in two parts to facilitate both broad engagement and provide tailored feedback. Part 1 features a facilitated panel discussion with leading scholars who bring diverse methodological and theoretical perspectives to these phenomena. The discussion will highlight emerging research, uncover promising avenues for future inquiry, and offer practical guidance on navigating the review process for related submissions. The segment concludes with questions from the audience. This part of the PDW is open to all attendees and does not require pre-registration. Part 2 is an interactive roundtable session designed to provide individualized feedback on paper ideas. Attendees seeking personalized feedback will receive the opportunity to submit a 2-page extended abstract of their paper in advance.
