Global, organizational, or personal events shape individuals, teams, and organizations in an increasingly interconnected and dynamic world. From global crises like wars and technological disruptions to personal turning points such as leadership decisions, events create ripple effects that transform behaviors, emotions, and cognitions across micro, meso, and macro levels. Despite growing interest in event-based research, the field remains fragmented, often constrained by static frameworks and limited methodological approaches. This Professional Development Workshop (PDW) addresses these gaps by fostering collaboration and advancing scholarship on event-based organizational behavior. The workshop begins with a brief introduction to its objectives and structure, followed by two panel discussions featuring expert insights from eight leading academic scholars and practitioners. The first panel focuses on foundational theories and methods for understanding the multifaceted nature of events, while the second explores real-world applications, including leadership development and organizational practices. Participants will engage in roundtable discussions to advance theories, methodologies, and practical strategies for studying and managing events. The session concludes with synthesizing key takeaways, actionable research directions, and opportunities for future collaborations. Through interactive discussions and problem-solving, this PDW equips participants with frameworks and tools to navigate the complexities of events, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and advancing organizational behavior scholarship.
