‘Intuitive intelligence’ is defined as the capacity to be aware of, understand, interpret and manage your intuitions and use this knowledge to make better judgements and take more effective decisions (Sadler-Smith, 2024). Intuitive intelligence is unique to humans and cannot be replicated by a machine. Intuitive intelligence adds value for humans in workplaces and labour markets where AI is becoming increasingly used to perform tasks that previously were the sole preserve of humans. This PDW will help participants to do two things: (1) Develop their own intuitive intelligence; (2) Learn how to develop their students’ intuitive intelligence. The ‘Intuitive Intelligence 2.0: Adding value with human intuition in the Age of AI’ PDW (hereafter ‘Intuitive Intelligence 2.0’) builds on last year’s PDW on the same topic, which was very well-attended and, by all accounts, very well received. Last year’s PDW was a lively interactive discussion of the full range of intuitive intelligence ‘workouts’, i.e. practical exercises for developing intuitive intelligence. The significant difference is that this year’s PDW will give participants the opportunity to delve much more deeply into selected workouts, i.e., this year participants will get the opportunity to actually do some of the workouts for themselves. The ‘Intuitive Intelligence 2.0’ PDW will contribute to the broad aim of rethinking conventional ways of management learning and development by showing how intuition can be developed, educated, and trained. A cross-cutting theme will be how intuitive intelligence can add value for individuals and to business organizations in a way that is unique and cannot be captured in an algorithm or imitated by machines, hence the ‘Adding value with human intuition in the Age of AI’ in title.
