This PDW explores how universities can strengthen their role in ecosystems for social value creation. We aim to develop capabilities among academics, educators, and university leaders interested in advancing social value creation through their role in academia. This PDW is for the members SIM, ENT, and ONE because we want to focus on entrepreneurial solutions to social and environmental issues based on the multiple interactions between stakeholders and current theoretical and practical insights from ecosystem thinking. The PDW features expert panelists who will share insights on internal university alignment, ecosystem connections, and fostering inclusiveness within entrepreneurial ecosystems. Following this, the participants will do interactive roundtable discussions, where they will collaborate with panelists to identify best practices for universities' engagement in ecosystems for social value creation. A concluding discussion will cover the tools, methods, and strategies for building supportive networks and enhancing inclusivity in ecosystems for universities aiming to generate social value.
