AI, and GenAI in particular, have created huge excitement, and the expectations of their adoption and, crucially, of their disruptive potential for organizations across the board are high. At the same time, there is only scant systematic evidence on such disruption, and we need to balance our excitement with this new technology, that has undeniably also generated its own hype cycle, with systematic evidence. So, what is it that research and emerging evidence can tell us about the disruptive potential for (Gen)AI? What should we expect looking forward and how should we adjust our research agenda and area of focus? This PDW will bring together some of the leading thinkers and researchers on the topic, alongside with top practitioners who will be able to walk us through the evolving landscape of Ai and GenAI, and to a cutting edge conversation of today’s trends and implications for tomorrow. Our objective is to foster conversation and a community comprising of some key stakeholders from academe and practice as we all try to gauge AI and GenAI’s current and future impact. It will also provide us with the opportunity to consider what is happening in some of leading Business Schools (HBS, Wharton, Stanford, LBS) as they build centres and institutes dedicated to AI, and explain their approach, expectations, concerns, and hopes for the future.
