10252: Impact and Entrepreneurship: Collaborative Pathways for Better Futures

Societal grand challenges encompass interconnected environmental, social, and governance concerns, yet relevant scholarship is fragmented with environmental, sustainable, social, and responsible entrepreneurship engaging with each concern separately. Impact entrepreneurship offers a unifying lens for scholarship focused on improving the world through venture creation and growth. Situated at the intersection of impact and entrepreneurship, this PDW brings together leading voices from the frontlines of environmental, social, and responsible entrepreneurship. The goal of this PDW is to foster a critical yet constructive dialogue among scholars and engage participants through interactive roundtables and collaborative exploration of key questions, such as: How can impact entrepreneurship catalyze positive change? What frameworks can help us move beyond definitional debates? What are the mechanisms and processes driving impact in diverse entrepreneurial contexts? The PDW will thus shift attention from impact intentions to impact processes and outcomes, exploring the roles of individuals, collectives, and ecosystems. This two-part PDW will stimulate thought-provoking conversations and facilitate a critical exploration of emergent themes and directions at the intersection of impact and entrepreneurship. Building on the interactive panel discussion (part 1) with distinguished speakers offering diverse perspectives for creating and assessing impact, part 2 adopts a roundtable format to catalyze new research projects, uncover shared interests, and build connections among scholars.
