This Professional Development Workshop is intended for those interested in incorporating 360-degree evaluations into their teaching, research, and/or practice. The panelists will discuss the challenges of adopting 360-degree approaches, collecting and publishing 360-degree data, using 360-feedback as a tool for development, and best practices regarding the tools available for such data collection. Each panelist will discuss their views on successful approaches to 360-degree data collection for scholarly, pedagogical, and practitioner use. Following the panelists sharing their personal experiences using 360-degree tools, the organizers will moderate an open Q&A from attendees interested in adopting 360-degree tools for teaching, research, and practice. We will also use an interactive demonstration of the free (for academic purposes) TEXL.org tool as an option for employing a variety of 360-degree evaluations. The session will conclude with a debriefing, where the organizers will summarize the main points generated throughout the session. Our goal is to help make 360-degree approaches available and more effective for those in the field by enhancing rigor, relevance, and creating pathways forward for both the publication and management development processes.
