Bringing together a group of established scholars with exposure to both organization and management theory (OMT) and science and technology studies (STS), this Professional Development Workshop facilitates discussion about their intersections. The purpose of this PDW is to identify topics allowing valuable cross-pollination between OMT and STS, and discuss the challenging points of difference. The PDW synthesizes some of the current empirical and conceptual approaches, builds a community around these topics, and fosters novel conversations and interactions across the approaches. The PDW will be organized in two parts. In Part 1, each of the panelists will present their approach to this intersection. Questions and interactions with the audience will be encouraged. In Part 2, theme-related discussions will take place in roundtables. Each table will be headed by one of the panelists who will guide a discussion and answer questions related to their theme.
