Simulation-based education is a growing modality in healthcare management, offering learners the opportunity to engage with realistic scenarios for skill development, teamwork, and decision-making. While prepackaged simulations are widely available, they may not address the specific objectives or contexts of individual programs. This workshop emphasizes the importance of leveraging the evidence base in simulation literature to design and implement custom simulations. Attendees will explore developing tailored simulations grounded in the Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice™. This session provides a discussion on the foundational principles of creating an effective learning environment, a framework for creating impactful simulations, and the importance of a debriefing focused on reflection. By fostering innovation, attendees will be equipped to craft simulations that address unique organizational challenges and promote the value of healthcare management education.
