The Panel Symposium is aimed at developing a better understanding of how social justice is related to productivity growth and how human resource management (HRM) can help. The proposed symposium draws on and expands from the ongoing project “Social Justice and Workplace Productivity: A Gender and Age Perspective”, funded and led by the RESEARCH Department of the International Labour Organization. Social justice leads to better employee motivation, job satisfaction, intention to stay with the company, good citizen behavior, innovative drive, more co-operative, and support to their peers such as knowledge sharing, and better employee wellbeing (financial, physical, and mental). This will flow on to better societal wellbeing. The symposium participants will discuss different issues related to social justice and the role of HRM in promoting workplace inclusion and productivity from a gender, age, and disability perspective. By bringing together diverse perspectives, the symposium aims to foster a comprehensive understanding of how gender, age and disability intersect with workplace policies and strategies, and societal norms. It seeks to highlight innovative approaches that organizations and policymakers can adopt to address the dual goals of social justice and productivity.
