This panel explores the pivotal role of culture in addressing contemporary organizational challenges, with a focus on navigating the internal and external forces—tailwinds and headwinds—that shape cultural resilience and adaptability. Drawing on foundational work on organizational design and culture, the panelists will present diverse perspectives and case studies, offering actionable strategies for leaders, managers, and employees to adapt to emerging challenges and foster inclusive, sustainable change. These three unique cases are presented by expert consultants and provide innovative ideas for a broader exploration of the field of organization development and management consulting. After the initial panelists’ case presentations, and consistent with the Academy of Management focus on change, a second portion of the session involves the future opportunities based on lessons learned from each case. Finally, the session allows for the attendee’s voice with adequate time for audience participation and discussion.
