As universities navigate the transformative impact of Generative AI (GenAI), they face mounting pressure to solve complex real-world challenges. Traditional academic silos continue to impede inter-disciplinary collaboration, limiting both innovation potential and the translation of research into education and measurable societal and economic outcomes (Neck & Corbett, 2018). This workshop presents the Innovation & Entrepreneurship (I&E) Academy model, which uniquely leverages the synergistic relationship between GenAI's dual capacity for cost reduction and value enhancement, precisely the dynamics that Blue Ocean Strategy seeks to optimize through its value-innovation framework (Kim & Mauborgne, 2004). Its effectiveness stems from three reinforcing pillars: (1) Design Science Research methodology that systematically channels inter-disciplinary expertise toward scalable solutions; (2) development of entrepreneurial mindsets and competencies that cultivate institutional problem-solving capabilities; and (3) GenAI proficiency and Blue Ocean Strategy for Value Innovation and Efficiencies leading to impact. Drawing on implementation evidence from an Australian university, this workshop demonstrates how the I&E Academy model has catalysed measurable outcomes including unique grant acquisitions, university spinouts, and a Human Centred GenAI first Pedagogy. Through interactive case studies and practical toolkits, participants will apply Blue Ocean Strategy's Value Curve and Four Actions Framework across 15 critical higher education factors.
