Artificial intelligence (AI) has revolutionized organizational operations, driving automation, data- informed decision-making, and strategic innovation. Beyond routine tasks, AI is increasingly used for predictive analytics, process optimization, and high-level decision-making. This shift reshapes the workplace into dynamic socio-technical systems where humans and intelligent technologies interact continuously. While AI holds immense promise for enhancing productivity and innovation, it also introduces challenges, including algorithmic bias, ethical dilemmas, and complexities in human-AI collaboration. Addressing these challenges requires examining the interplay of leadership, responsible practices, and employee engagement in AI-driven organizational transformation (OT). Using an exploratory qualitative research design, the paper investigates leadership intentions and responsible practices during AI adoption. The study makes three key theoretical contributions, as it provides insights into leadership intentions, offers actionable practices to address the individual frontier and it identifies employee responses to AI adoption. From a practical perspective, the research delivers valuable guidance for organizations, enabling leaders to implement AI technologies responsibly.
