This study explores the design of digital resources for environmental impact assessment, addressing gaps in conceptualizing, validating, and implementing these resources in Green Information Systems (IS). Using the echeloned Design Science Research (eDSR) methodology, we collaborated with a leading information technology consultancy firm to develop modular, scalable digital resources tailored to evolving sustainability regulations like the Corporate Social Reporting Directive. The study identifies key design principles for reusable and client-centric digital resources, emphasizing flexibility, innovation, and compliance. Demonstrated through real-world implementation, the solution integrates sustainability standards, intuitive interfaces, and cloud infrastructure, supporting sustainability-focused service delivery. This research makes three contributions: extending the concept of digital resources for environmental assessments, validating their application within Green IS, and proposing design principles for measuring and mitigating environmental impacts. By bridging theory and practice, the study provides actionable insights for leveraging digital technologies to promote environmental sustainability.
