This extended abstract integrates a grounded theory with two existing spiritual frameworks. The concept of harmonizing spaces of academic freedom resolves the tensions in promoting knowledge to the world. Through comparative analysis, we apply the k-model (Nandram et al., 2022) and the seven-rays model (Bailey, 1925) to explore the role of spirituality and meditation in fostering harmony within academic spaces. We propose over 20 propositions on how spirituality and meditation can effectively support harmonizing spaces of academic freedom.
